4th grade students were reading stories around the theme of journey.
Students interpreted and analyzed Winslow Homer’s painting The Herring Net and explored how the artist communicated the theme journey.
Students then planned and created narrative comic book page using template about what happened before Homer’s painting The Herring Net takes place and what happens after.
All students’ artwork was then copied and compiled into comic books
