Students were interpreting and analyzing different architectural structures.
6th graders studied about Carcassonne Castle, Carcassonne, France.
Students explored about how architecture structure stand up, why they were constructed, and how community worked together to construct structures.
Students planned, constructed and then painted their clay sculpture model for a castle.
Project was done over two 40-minute construction classes, and one 40-minutes class to paint with watercolors.
