Art and Literacy > Journey

6th and 7th grade students scanned, analyzed and interpreted the Great Migration Series by Jacob Lawrence.
Each student then planned and created one of three parts to a journey. The 3 sections would be;
Why Journey? The Journey’s Travel (what happened on the Journey), and Journey’s End. They then drew a special moment about a journey.
This exact image would be then created into 4 different medias. The idea being the same story can be told differently by how it is done.
All work was completed in 10 days over 2 weeks.
All the artwork was then displayed as a grid.
